Deadline to enter contest is September 18th, competition is September 23rd
Entry is 3 bottles of a German Style Beer.
Contest held at Fezzo’s in Crowley, La.
Judging starts at 10am.
Call for Judges and Volunteers – good event to learn how to judge

Awards

  • 1st place = $100
  • 2nd place = $50
  • 3rd place = $25

Jim B. announced he would be bringing a Helles keg for the People’s Choice award
People’s Choice brew will be in a special booth – buy a mug, taste all brews for free.
Lawrence announced he had access to two freezers to hold 15-16 5 gallon kegs for People’s Choice brews.

Could possibly be used to encourage beer entries for Gulf Brew 2018.

Oktoberfest is traditional style for hundreds of years — amber and malty
Festbier is modern style adopted in last few decades — pale and malty
